Brad Pitt's Wacky Chanel No.5 Commercial (and our very own roving entertainment reporter and official poet laureate Lord Throckmorton Fungusleaves' even whackier response)

Brad Pitt in his goofy Chanel No 5 commerical/ad

Well, apparently this bizarre Chanel No.5 commercial that Brad Pitt is in, is kind of a big deal.  There's not a lot to say about it, other than it is a Chanel No.5 advertisement, and Brad Pitt is in it, so just check it out below...

Brad Pitt for Chanel No. 5 "that really rustled my jimmies" version

Anywho, to cut to the chase, here is the full transcript of Brad Pitt's little soliloquy (yes, i do believe you could call it that: a soliloquy):

"It's not a journey. Every journey ends, but we go on. The world turns and we turn with it. Plans disappear, dreams take over. But wherever I go... there you are. My luck. My fate. My fortune. Chanel No. 5.   Inevitable."

And here is a dramatic reading of the same speech delivered by our very own Lord Throckmorton Fungusleaves.  Excellent.  Just Excellent...

As Pitt said, every journey ends...  So that will end our journey for today.  Once again, thank you,  and please remember to support your local zoo.

Stay classy, Chicago!

  1. The jimmies being unrustled version was oddly beautiful. Though the original version feels far too deep to belong to a perfume advert.

  2. Isn't Chanel No.5 a ladies' perfume? He should have made it clearer that he likes women who wear it rather than wearing it himself. He could have said: "But wherever I go... there you smell."

    1. Yes, Gorilla. In fact Brad is their first male spokesperson.

  3. I've seen this commercial and it's definitely weird (even before the edited version!). Since I live in Egypt, I see U.S. stars, (like George Clooney, Matthew McConaughey and Chuck Norris) doing commercials all the time on Italian and Polish channels, but the stars usually have clauses in their contracts that keep the commercials from being shown in the U.S. so they don't look like money-grubbing idiots. I guess Brad forgot...

  4. hauntingly beautiful! I giggle every time it comes on - did he not get a huge stack of money for it?

  5. To be honest, all perfume adverts are pretentious, drivelly bollocks.

  6. Blaah I wish this commercial was shown in SA..
We get all the shitty stuff - even our adverts are shitty. Blah.
    Thanks for sharing :P

  7. Lindsay Lohan and Brad Pitt...Another great post!
